When you say "Corsair" watercooling doesn't exactly come to mind. As long as we have had overclocking loving, CPU-freezing enthusiasts, decent memory came with the Californian Memory giants name branded on it, but very little else.

It is with glee then, that we were offered a look at something a little different from Corsair: a complete external watercooling system. Some of you might be surprised to know that this isn't the first liquid based system they have brought to the market; in fact nearly three years ago the Hydro-Cool 200 system was gracing some of our homes.

The Hydro-Cool 200 was far from perfect though. It was expensive, coming in at nearly £180, and it didn’t really perform that much better than a quality air-cooled heatsink and fan combo.

Corsair could have stuck to what they do well, deliver high performance quality memory... Thankfully, they didn't. Enter the Nautilus 500.


What we need to find out is whether or not Corsair learnt from the Hydro-Cool lessons and released a product we would be happy to see on your PC, cooling your system, reducing your noise levels and therefore stress. Because we are like that at bit-tech - we think of our readers as an extended family, and would like to see your money buying products we would buy ourselves!
